show-b und thomas herb sind aus der münchner house-szene seit vielen jahren nicht mehr wegzudenken. show-b veröffentlicht seit jahren seine tracks auf labels wie poker flat oder delusions of grandeur, während thomas herb als resident-dj der compost black label sessions für furore sorgte. dies ist ihre erste gemeinsame ep. drei house-tracks, dreimal ins schwarze getroffen.

joashs debütalbum >dont fear it, fight it< hat sich längst zu einem geheimtipp entwickelt. es hatte sich in die herzen vieler produzenten gespielt, einige von ihnen hat es zu remixen inspiriert. drei davon finden sich auf dieser maxi: arto mwambe (aka lauer/brontosaurus), tj kong & nuno dos santos (compost) und till von sein (suol/morris audio/baalsaal).

dritte solo-single von rainer trueby! erneut hat rainer trueby mit danilo plessow, besser bekannt als motor city drum ensemble, zusammengearbeitet. sowohl auf der der a-seite >jeck< wie auch auf >welcome to our world< singt der in freiburg lebende dj und produzent selbst. stilistisch greift trueby den vibe des in den frühen 90ern legendären new yorker labels nu groove auf. obendrein gibts einen top-remix von marcus worgull (innervisions).

k bonus aus antwerpen und negghead fanden auf ibiza zueinander. dort ist der engländer negghead resident-dj der wax on records-clubnacht im aura. wax on ist das label von dj ease (nightmares on wax). aus einer nacht im aura hinter dem dj-pult wurde eine maxi für das spanische label lovemonk, die großen anklang bei leuten wie moodymann oder benji b fand. ihre erste gemeinsame maxi für compost black label ist ein großer wurf – hypnotische, aus den tiefen des soul-universums kommende house-musik mit viel punch. remixe kommen von den acid mondays und dave brody.
